But a safe, fun, mysterious version.
says get revved. A sax lays down on top and says do your own thing, baby.
The snap in the rhythm says “check it, check it.”
This piece is synesthetically dripping. Nothing emphasizes a cellic voice better than a viola. These two mid-range instruments mediate the lag and chunk of the bass and the shriek of the violin. Here they get to just do their things.
A little atmospheric wash and some real strings to spice up this giddy rocker.
